i'm no expert on all things steve but i do know that he had nothing to
do with who sang the songs. he left that up to claudia. she picked them.
the only part he took in the sixths thing was, of course, writing the
songs, and since he doesn't like his own voice he wanted other people to
sing them. and he also sent the singers back into the studio if they
didn't sound "bored" enough. he had to do it with a couple of the people
on that sixths record. he didn't want to sing them himself, but he did
have an exact idea of how they should have been sung.

and for whoever said "born on a train" is one of the best songs ever to
grace this earth......you are a genius.
