>Stormbringer was a very gentle album by John and Beverly Martyn
(Scottish?).
>It came out c. 1969 and has a B&S-type tone (some of them are bound to
know
>it). John Martyn has made tons of albums since but I never cared much for
his

The saintly Keith also recently furnished me with a copy of "Solid Air",
which is very nice indeed. In fact I had a copy of John Martyn Live At Leeds
in my mits this afternoon, but balked at the price and distinct lack of
previously unreleasable material. I came home empty handed, just in time for
the Bobby Chariot Memorial Hayride. Proceedings were enlivened by Tag's,
whoops, I mean Don Estelle's, maniac Starsky and Hutch drive home, and Linda
and Keith's remarkable display of Dad's Army minor character knowledge. Not
to mention a very nice photograph distributed by Susannah. Thanks, Susannah,
I collect things like that!

Next week's fatty fun proceedings will be hosted by Spudgun out of BBC TV's
"Bottom".

The even saintlier Mussadiq equipped me with a tape of that Peanuts music.
It's very nice listening, quite relaxing. Just the ticket for an afternoon's
punting, but I don't really see the B&s similarity. While we're on the
subject, a big hearty slap on the back for all my tape swapping chums. I've
been introduced to some very pleasant music, from the lovely Will Oldham to
the equally desireable Yes. I'm only sorry I haven't got anything very
exciting to send in return. I sent off my Duke Box Dury tape, and now I'm
worrying about what to do for Matt....problems problems.
