Sinister: Pants

A friend of mine was wondering what 'the British' call their pants (ie. 
their trousers) since the word "pants" is currently enjoying popularity 
as a derogatory adjective (like "crap" in many ways I guess). She came 
up with two possible alternatives: uber-pants, or over-pants. How we 
laughed.........and laughed.
