Your problem was that the 2 rooms were in fact "secret" ie. they don't 
show up when listing the channels.  If you would have just typed in /j 
#sinister  then you would have joined one, then through that found out 
you had to join another to see your questions/answers from the band.  
You really didn't miss a very informative hour... however you missed our 
learning who they "wank" to, and that "StuartD" likes to curse alot.  I 
hope that makes you feel better
