The BMX Bandits are very jingly-jangly pop (Teenage Fanclub "grew out" of
them) and are OK on record, but to catch them at their best, you have to
see them live. I saw them at last year's Planet Pop festival (supported
by the incredible Secret Goldfish), and I haven't grinned so much at a
gig in ages. Just a massive cheesy smile, plastered to my face, as I
enjoy the bizarre bobbins that Duglas was coming out with, as he stands
there wearing a PVC satchel with Minnie Mouse on it, and wandering round
the pub carrying a tea-cup of hot water.

So, in summary: Great live, average on record.

Rod.
