Sinister: Gigolo Aunts

I saw the Gigolo Aunts quite recently opening for another band.  I had never heard them before, but, being from the Greater Boston Area, had heard much OF them.  I was so sourly disappointed.  The first song was OK, kind of jangly and retro a la Push Kings, but then they just started to (pardon my French) blow.  One song was completely indistinguishable from the next and they were the most banal, nondescript songs I have ever heard - and I have sat through a lot of dull and/or bad opening bands (don't even get me started on Kenickie....).  They were only hindered by the weak, thin voice of their lead singer.  Yuck.
Wondering if it's wrong that I like the new Madonna,
