Hmmm, I can't say I see any similarities between the two whatsoever,
although no doubt some reviewer out there has also mentioned VU in terms
of Acetone because they do in reference to 80% of the music in my
collection. Acetone sound a bit country, sort of slow and sad and pretty.
They're one of those bands that I fully expected to grab me and drag me
gloriously under, but when I listened to them not much happened. It's like
how some people can be just perfect for you in a textbook way, except for
the fact that you're not at all in love with them. So anyway, I think
Acetone is a talented band, and I did mildly enjoy their last s/t release,
but then forgot I had it until I read your post. I haven't seen them live,
and I don't know you well enough to say what you'd think of them, but just
don't go early based on that B & S mention.
