Just as i was contemplating whether to join the "saddest song" lament,
remaniac came up with:

> As for songs personally sad: Mazzy Star's "Fade Into You." About
> three years have passed since this became unbearable to listen to

you're just so right! i can't listen to that song without crying - not
only because it's so lovely but because i fell in love to that song. i
know that's incredibly corny.
but he was my first real love. the first night i stayed over his house,
he put that song on first thing in the morning. and it was a glorious
morning. sunny and warm. then he made me muffins and tea.

you know when you're in love for the first time and you're just so
absolutely overwhelmed with the enormity of the feeling. you can't
imagine what it was like when you weren't in love. well this song sums
up that time for me. needless to say, we were together for two years
then had a very sad break up. so fade into you just tears me apart.
except now i can't listen to flowers in december by mazzy star which my
former love played during the weeks of our demise.

boo hoo.

love to all

jane
