actually i think there is a pattern to follow for
english bands trying to make it over here and that
is to release a rock single first, let it get a
little airplay but mostly remain unmemorable and
then for the second single release a cliche-laden
ballad with accompanying black and white video(ala
cranberries and oasis) apparently we yanks think
black and white portrays depth and meaningfulness
and couples-skate worthiness.

not necessarily underrated but perhaps
underappreciated(especially by evil richard
branson's label) is Moose who have released three
fantastically breezy and delicate records and yet
remain totally obscure.  Maybe they have been
unable to live down their shoegazer past but
Russel Moose has the wooziest voice in pop and he
is just lovely.  I keep hearing they are
self-releasing their new record 'twelve new ways
to fly' soon, does anyone know when?

love it, liz fraser appears on it:)
