Sinister: Do Belle & Sebastian Rollerskate?

Um, yea, if they do, I just might consider spending my Wednesday evening falling on my rear...  Although curiosity beckons me to question, is rollerskating a distinctly North American Dirk Diggler type throwback to the 70s, or do you brits still do it too?

Alright fellow sinisteriens, 
the word is that sandra and I have a rollerskating date on wednesday of 
this week with people whom i work with ... we are both debating whether 
or not to go... we are plum tired out from the weekend (in which we 
worked) and i still have to pay whether i go or not! What to do, what to 
do... 
Help us please... I suppose if we were going, sandra would wear leather 
and i would wear fur (i don't sound like such a shy bunny anymore do 
i)............... oh dear!
and my dear dear donatien, huskies i know not where to buy... maybe at a 
smashing place like Valu-Villaaaggge or your local thrift store... they 
are basically sort of 70's throwback items now I believe... if you find 
them, feel lucky and wear them around the house with nothing on while 
drinking Fry's cocoa sweetened with sugar and monin chocolate mint 
syrup...mmmmmm! (some blueberry belgian waffles would be nice as well!) 
hmmm, and on the topic of the Snow Queen... couldn't our belle and seb 
(or maybe even stuart m and sarah? i think they're both adorable!) be 
the two lovers and re-enact the story line? but who would be the ice-y 
queeen...?! Seymour Stein, perhaps?????!!! 
ohhh where the time goes... and monsieur donatien, do you always make 
your dates pay for your macdonalds specials? or are they too busy, 
lovingly adoring you while you wear your michael hutchence/bjork looking 
jacket just so that they can sit and stare at you with stars in their 
dreamy eyes...! 

*sigh* french fries.
