On the subject of rhyming purple, here is a joke:

What colour is a hiccup?
Burple.

HA HA HA!

I've just sent in my entry, it is the first poem I've written in 
ages. I think we should do more. How about writing limericks to do 
with cheese and giraffes?

There was a giraffe called Denise,
Who sat on a big piece of cheese.
She said "oh by gum",
It's gone up my bum.
I should have worn dungerees.

I'm sure you can do better than me.
