Sinister: yumm... grammar

okay, so because i have lots of stuff to do and i don't want to do it, i'm
going to share the beauty of who and whom with everyone (everyone, that is,
who doesn't balk at the subject of the e-mail). 
so this is how one does it: if, in a sentence, you can put in "him" in the
place you mean to put in "who" or "whom", put in "whom". here's an example:
she wondered ____ the cardigan belonged to. so switch the sentence around so
the blank space is nearer to what it's modifying: the cardigan belonged to
____. you can fill in "him" where that blank spot is, so you can therefore use
"whom". got it? it also helps to remember that "whom" always follows a
prepositional phrase. 
yeah, yeah, yeah. off i go
