Sinister: Viagra falls

Hello,

I'm still waiting for Keef to call me to discuss the Sinister Soul
Weekender, and he hasn't. Hopefully he'll sing France Gall songs down
the line like he did last time. I'd never been serenaded in such a
way before, and I'm not ashamed to say that it moved me to tears.

So do I. Which reminds me of an interesting piece in the Guardian the
other week which said (and I quote):

"A pregnancy boom on the Hebridean island of Islay is being attributed
to the relaunch of the local Dunlop cheese, which was once banned in
Italy because of its supposed aphrodisiac qualities".

It certainly sounds more fun than Viagra. Tag Senior, who fathered
me, is from Islay. Mere coincidence?

It pains me to say this, but John is right. You wouldn't believe that
someone singing the line "et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera"
could be gooseflesh inducing, but it is. Do any Glaswegians know
anything about a girl group night in Glasgow next week? In an ex-RAF
serviceman's club apparently, with model aeroplanes hanging from the
ceiling. I'd like to go, but I hope it's better than a girl group
night I Dj'ed at in Manchester a while back where the organiser
harangued me to play Denim for two hours.

For a horrible moment, I thought that said "estranged todger". It's
bad enough Trousers talking about my "chopper" last week, but I
implying that I've somehow become removed from the old chap is a new
definition of the word libel.

I must admit, much as I deplore physical violence, the idea of a DJ
punching someone, then rushing to the decks to cue up the next record,
before going back to punch the victim a second time is a truly
spectacular image.

Isn't Ooon lovely?
