French people like artists whose work is strongly linked to New York.
Because New York is the city in the US where you feel the most a kind of
"european culture". And we love artists who love France! Many writers
(Auster, Jay MacInerney), film directors (Auster), music composers (Philip
Glass) have many fans in France. And some of these artists speak french,
which is not the case for a majority of americans :)
But this has nothing to do with Belle&Sebastian. So if some of you want to
discuss about this kind of subjects with me, you can contact me privately.
We can talk about America, France, Scotland, Germany as much as you want to!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Philippe
