it's true, i found the archive that b&s was spoken of (quite highly) on
National Public Radio this morning they said:

Belle and Sebastian -- Host Renee Montagne talks with Village Voice
      critic Dennis Lim about the current critical darlings in the pop
music world,
      Belle and Sebastian. The Scottish band's latest CD is getting raves
from
      critics, but will their music ever be heard by a wider audience?


well, it was only 6 minutes worth of B&S content, but B&S nevertheless.
