kenners has drunkenly incited me out of my fat lazy, bored state. 

My list of things good about America
1. Fred Astaire
2. chinese/japanese/indian/thai food. In SF, berkeley, etc. 
3.1 Joshua Tree National Park, CA. It looks like Mars and you can sleep 
outside, warm as a kitten, no sleeping bag.
4. Sequoias.
5. Jimmy Stewart
6. In Watermelon Sugar by Richard Brautigan
7. My friend david's flower, this giant flower of felt and wire, in the 
middle of which one can sit and grab all the petals with attached 
strings so you can hide yourself in the center of a flower.
