You could also have hours of fun with Parkas if you actually used the
built-in pen/pencil holder on the arm that prevented you from bending your
elbows, doing groovy robot impressions. Added bonus if your mum had sewn
your mittens thru the sleeves to reduce mobility even more. Ahh, great
days.

Hehehe, I only remembered about the ever so handy pen/pencil holder after I
sent my post in. Hey, combined with a pair of idiot mittens with one mitten
pulled significantly more through one arm of ya parka so you can belt people
round the head with it, 70's school wear was lethal. Let's not forget the
twang of pain the snake belt could bring if it fell into the wrong hands ?.

The LAnt jackets i remember were kinda beigey "blouson" style jackets with
cheesey tartan linings, zip-up pockets and elasticated wrists... it was
required to wear brown corduroy trousers with them, preferably half masts,
and to carry an old style leather-look brown satchel with broken buckles
containing a half eaten marmite (or nutella?) sandwhich .

Don't forget your Spangles and Bazooka Joe's. Oh and if you were outside
school and looking a bit smart, surely a tank top designed with no due care
or attention was standard ?.

Hang on, seeing as we're talking about bad 70's kids fashions here, can I
offer a word of advice to the Fluffyone, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT....you
know what I mean. 87)

Bye bye
