Sinister: The Show Must Go On!

Mixed feelings this morning. On the one hand we have the
welcome return of FlappySeb and his FunkyFlares, but on the
other hand we have the sad news that Isobel is poorly.
Hopefully it's nothing that a few plates of bangers and mash
won't put right, but at any rate I think Philadelphia
listees should go to the hospital and hold a sinister
candlelit vigil. Whoops, I meant Sinister candlelit vigil!
Silly me! As for the cancelled performance, I daresay one or
more memebrs of the band had to accompany Isobel to the
hospital, because otherwise it would be scarey for her. I'm
just speculating, of course, but the thought may help grumpy
people feel a little less grumpy.

Mark Lanegan is a boring bastard. The only thing I can say
in his favour is that he looks a bit like Spudgun from
"Bottom", only without the charisma. Mike Johnson treated us
to some acoustic numbers. He did 4, 27, 6 and an epic 4756.
That was a little joke to try and make it seem interesting.
>From what I could gather from the lyrics, both Lanegan and
Johnson are in considerable emotional pain. I'm not bloody
surprised, if I was their bird, I'd bugger off as well. The
bass player used to be in Soundgarden, so I spent most of
the evening estimating the size of his bank balance. It was
that good.

Claire, I've done your tape. It is mercifully free of Mark
Lanegan, but I suspect it won't beat the Divine Experience
after all. Nevertheless, there was a picture of Norman Cook
manning the wheels of steel in the paper yesterday, and he
does indeed look almost exactly the same as Mr Symington!
I'll stick it on the cover of your tape, Claire. I need your
address though.
