Sinister: thank you

i'd like to thank mike, julian, and stephane for their lovely letters.
for once, i feel like rather than making me jealous, they made me really
happy.  when mike talked about the show, i almost felt like i was there.
perhaps it's my mood (though i rather doubt it cause the mood isn't that
pleasant) or maybe i'm just looking at things differently today, but these
letters were so much nicer than those from people who complain.  there is a
difference between a criticism and a complaint, but i think lately a great
many people have been erring toward the complaint.  well, if you've seen
belle and sebastian eighty times since stuart was five years old and
singing choir songs, that's well and good.  but why would anyone continue
to go and see them if all you felt was disappointment?  why bother to go if
it isnt' worth your precious time?  i know several of you have seen the
band dozens of times and still get a special floaty feeling, and i'm not
talking to you.  but if you don't, maybe you should distance yourself from
the band for a bit, so you can come back and maybe feel that realization of
how lovely and wonderful it is, get that feeling back.  my muddled little
point of view.  ;)
