Sinister: Competition Results!

Dear puds,
I have returned home from my B&S/Sinister package tour, feeling physicallly
drained but a spiritual stonner.  What a wonderful time.  I'm ripping the
virginity from my mick cooke mug as I type, I am.  Now listen, I think I
have quite a lot of things I have to say this evening, please humour me,
and forgive me If I annoy you.  

First things first, the competition.  Thanks to everyone who entered.

Unlucky boys.  But seeing as Tim was so lovely to me and julia thoughout
the last week, and kevan was a decent chap too, I have to promote them from

Oh!  We have a tie break situation!!!!! It's between Peter and Steve!.  But
I didn't tell you what was going to happen in a tie break situation, did I?


Here's what shall happen in a tie break situation.  I shall ask a question
and the one of you who gives me the nearest answer wins.  I shall announce
the winner to the list.  In the chance that one of you is away and not near
a computer, I shall give two weeks before declaring the other bloke victor.

Here is the question:

Belle and Sebastian have a manager called Neil.  He is only 12 years old,
but remarkably hairy for one so young.  He has two sideburns, one by each
ear, which he can use as a pulley device to shift the bands equipment.  I
know for a fact how many hairs are in each of Neils boards, what I need you
to tell me is the total number of sideburn hairs on Neils face (to the
nearest ten thousand).  Best of Luck.
