Sinister: Sweet FA B& S content

 Actually, Sweet F.A derives from the girl of the name Fanny Adams ( 
this is a true story folks). She was horribly murdered, cut upp into 
small pieces and thrown into a lake. Sailors around these times used to 
receive tins of mutton as their food rations. These tins didn't contain 
very much meat in them, and it was in tiny little bits. So as lads like 
to do, they made jokes about it, referring to the sweet meat in their 
tins as being like Fanny Adams and thus Sweet Fanny Adams began to refer 
to pretty much nothing, which led to sweet fuck all.

phew, so that is why I study linguistics. So I can enlighten the world 
with the origin of common phrases. anybody want to know where c*** comes 
from?
