hullo lorelei and everyone else,

yeah, you know...i thought about my pale saints comment after i'd already 
hit 'send' and realised that i must have too much belle and sebastian on 
the brain, their influence is creeping into everything i listen to and 
making me make comparisons that aren't exactly spot-on.  it was the singing 
thing, i tell you. lorraine's comparison to blueboy is much more adept, 
cheers lor.  singing thing again...folkly bits too.  

and now i leave you as i whimper over the brand-new coffee stain on my baby 
blue t-shirt...

hmm... i don't know about that- perhaps stuart's vocals remind you
of ian masters'.  they do both have that thick-in-the-throat sound.
same goes for he out of blueboy, whose name escapes me.  and ed
ka-spel (legendary pink dots)

pale saints were far too drenched in reverb and cascading drums
to be like b&s.
