Sinister: yet another newbie

hello.
i am yet another of what appears to be a large influx of newbies on this
mailing list who feels he has to introduce himself.  this newbie is
writing to you from the dark, humid hell known as florida.  orlando, to be
precise.  not much goes on here, culturally speaking.  bands tend to stay
away from here, with good reason. usually, one has to drive for seven
hours to atlanta (or athens) to see anything worthwile.  i spent the
summer driving to new york (twice!) and washington to see the likes of the
magnetic fields, pulp, and radiohead. 

i am a sociology major at the university of central florida who retreats
from all his harsh realities to the world of belle & sebastian whenever
he can. it's nice to see that others like to do the same.

i've written too much so i'll stop.  but first, if there are any other
members residing in florida, i would love to hear from you, especially if
you are planning on going to the athens show.  please e-mail me privately,

also, being a sociology major, i would love to know what you older list
members think about the rapid rise in new members, especially
since the release of the new album.  if you would like to share your
thoughts, again, e-mail me privately.
