Sinister: It's the alphabetizing trainspotter, I guess?

So no one had any black music artists on their lists, huh? Pity.

I started off my list with Albert Ayler (FYI) cuz I keep my cd's near the
computer of which there are only a few since the 1000's of vinyl pieces I have
collected over the last 30 years are stacked on shelves in another room. I
only buy music on cd that I really love and don't want to wear out on wax and
are what I listen to the most often at work, car, etc.. and that is what I
mainly listed be it alphabetical or otherwise. Working at a record store in
an urban city doesn't hurt such diverse tastes either.

Lots of black music too. Sun Ra (that's jazz for children of 80's fey pop) is
my largest artist collection on vinyl and disc besides Marc Bolan & T.Rex.
Does this describe a trainspotter? Not really. Just a jazz fan that grew up
in the late 60's/early 70's rock era. Did I mention I have a lot of Curtis
Mayfield and James Brown on lp too?

Sorry I missed the Smiths era. Not much impressed me in the 80's in pop. Not
until Suede came along did I think an english band rocked with balls like in
the heyday of Bowie/Bolan. Morrissey was always too melodramatic/over-the-top
for me without sincerity.

Belle & Sebastian. That's melancholy sincerity with great lyrics too re-
inforce that cold feel.

Just an opinion....

Pete
