Sinister: Mogwai.

hi there,
whoever made that point about mogwai records, despite what weejay said, is
right, in my case and in the case of lots of people i know, too. while
'young team' and 'ten rapid' are, in my opinion, brilliantly crafted pieces
of music, i've never sat and mediated intently on the stuff. mogwai have
been for me going-to-sleep music or cleaning-my-room music or on one lovely
occasion kissing music. arab strap, same thing, i have yet to get into
their record (and i have yet to do that last thing to a.s., looking forward
to that). mogwai live, on the other hand, are even more powerful and
breathtaking than they are on record... because of this i feel justified to
name-check, hey. but name-checking is just silly anyway, so i try not to
do it too often.
sorry for my pointless posts today, i am at work and don't feel like doing
what i'm supposed to. weejay, good luck at uni and smile a little.
cheers, stasia

I know the last mail was supposed to be my last for a time but I had to get
a
word in (as ever) but the duke said:

Well, I'd like to disagree please. As much as I doubt it as a stance I
would
defend I listen to my mogwai stuff more than I listen to B&S. Or about the
same at least. In fact, I'd say the most listened-to CD I own is 'Kicking A
Dead
Pig.' I listen to the 'Strap less frequently, but a reasonable amount.
Anyway, this has to be bye this time. I've got to move to Southampton.
