Lullabye for the Working Class are a GREAT band!!!!!!!!!
relation to B&S?
1. Well, they don't have a P!O!P! bone in their collective bodies. So
don't go buying their stuff thinking you're going to get lots of dreamy pop
to whistle while you ride your bicycle on a sunny orange fall day.
2. Their instrumentation is really expansive. lots of american folk
instruments and horns and violins and vibes, yada yada yada.
3. A fairer comparison: Imagine if the Tindersticks lived on a farm in a
small town in nebraska. They are kindof alt-country, but not really. Their
sound is far more mature and complex than most other no-depression stuff.
4. They are part of a midwestern collective of bands that pool money
together and help each other out.
4. They are one of the best bands i've ever heard.

Hello all.
I was just reading the latest issue of CMJ, and the review they had of
B&S. They compared them to a band I have never heard of called Lullaby
For The Working Class. Can anyone shed some light on who this band is,
and whether this is a worthy comparison. I'm wondering how such a great
band (since they sound like B&S) slipped through my paws. Any insight
would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
