Sinister: The night shift

Cool! I like the strain of events that showed up in my mailbox today. I
just laughed laughed laughed at Honey's misquote, or rather, his being
misquoted, and now the U.S.ers are showing up for the night shift. I always
think about what time it must be over the sea, and when prime e-mail time
is in the U.K.. It appears to be around 3 pm EST. So while far away the
*other* time zone is sleeping the clock around, Ma in her kerchief and
Honey in his cap, we can provide a little morning surprize when they check
their morning mail.

When I first bought TBWTAS I thought that the beginning of one of the songs
sounded a lot like a Yo La Tengo song, but today when I tried to recall it
I had listened to both too many times to be able to discern which ones I
thought to be so similar. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It will
probably come to me soon (right after I press send, no doubt).

I find the thought of a fox in the snow tattoo extremely enticing.Too bad I
am rather a wimp at needles. I tried to draw one near my foot, my handiwork
in gel pen a poor substitute for professional sharp things. My cute
scribblings turned out more like a cow. It's a pretty nice, friendly
looking cow though. Then I was daydreaming about my new computer (uh,
seeing as how I'm nowhere near a purchase maybe I shouldn't use the term
"my") and tried to mimic the Apple typeface right on the bottom of my left
foot. It didn't look so hot either. And then I realized it was a bit... oh,
obsessive. So I made it plural and made the cow a grocery list ('cept I
spelled bannana wrong, oh so wrong). I liked it so much that I took a
picture and put it as my wallpaper. Yay!
