Sinister: i love to eat the blue ones

hi listies,

i'm quite impressed to be hearing this talk of broadcast around here.
whoever it was that was lamenting the fact that the gentle waves didn't
sound more like stereolab, just buy 'work and non work' and kiss it better.
the whole album is better than the april issue of wallpaper*, which happens
to feature lovely toronto in a couple places.

wrote my one and only midterm today, it was english and all about the way in
which media will lead to the death of literature. personally, i'd like to
believe that the two can coexist, but that would likely be ascribing far too
much intelligence to the general populus. but not any of you sweets, for i
believe it was on this list that someone recommended that i read 'the secret
history' by donna tartt - a lovely, lovely book, i was flipping through it
again tonight and was reminded of the 'through the looking glass' qualities
it has. and i've heard that the gorgeous large format paperback is no longer
in print, so if you see it it should be snatched up.

and to round out my recommendations this evening to an even three (and
ensure that i cover all forms of media), i must mention that i've updated my
website (for those of you that complained that the colours were hard to
read, i've lightened the background and...oh poo, if you don't notice then
too bad. so many improvements for you lot). you can witness my life here:
