This is what I have:

My spanish education consisted of two years from a teacher at a high school
in a town ten miles away. We had it on the Interactive TV. There were eight
TVs; 4 in the front and four in the back so we could see her and the other
classrooms. Three cameras so she could see us and what we were doing. A fax
machine for assignments, and hideous fluorescent lights that made one look
green when on camera. If I were posed with this question in class, I would
most likely duck down so she couldn't see me, crinkle paper in the
microphones to fake technincal difficulties, and turn off the system 'til
the end of class.  And have an early lunch.

When i was about three I befriended an American slang dictionary and
treated it as a neverending cookie, chewing on it constantly. It had chunks
out of it and got all fanned out from my slobber. It was my favorite. I
found it awhile ago and tasted it, but it lost something in its years of
dormancy, I think.

I'm not sure that I want to enter the fray, but...

Along with the rest of the world, I am at a loss for what to think about
the future of Kosovo and area.   It's scary and mind boggling to think of
the suffering over there, much of it on behalf of our respective countries.
And there isn't a plumb thing we can do, except to talk about it. I don't
know how Chris meant it, but I like it, as a wistful sentiment that of if
only it would just be that easy.
