..before I go to renew my devotion to Lord Jesus Christ and all his little
helpers.

Sister Disco, a lady in a grey velvet swing jacket was in the audience, at
the Gentle Waves, shepherding an even older lady, who may have been
Isobel's gran. The lack of an old dog made identification
completely certain.

I certainly enjoyed the Gentle Waves concert, although it was maybe a wee
bit gentle and wavy. I had this vision of Isobel crooning in the corner
of a supper club in France just before the German occupation, and thought,
hmm "that would work". The songs on their own perhaps did not stand up to
the examination conditions of a concert. I like the album - especially
the cowboy song. Cowboy songs are great. Tell me a bad one. Go on.

The picnic was well up to the usual standard of non-picnicness, being
conducted in a locked concrete amphitheatre and afterwards in a pub, where
Chris Leonard made Philadelphia Cheese and Chive sandwiches for everyone,
and the barman also tried to sell us a copy of Tigermilk.

Dr Who was filmed on Camber Sands? That must have been a big budget
production.

Cheers

Linda
