Sinister: Roolin' Berries

Hello folks

Is there something wrong with the page that lists the Bowlie line-up?
The bottom of the page doesn't seem to be loading, the bit where it
says that Roolz will be there.

If it's Roolz who are playing stage two on the sunday night then I'd
be more worried about overcrowding in there.

Looper are playing as a full band? Wow, it'll be like when Dylan went
electric.

The shortness of the Looper album is more of an issue for me than any
running melodic theme. That Beethoven bloke used to do whole albums
with the same bits of melody repeated over and over again, but at
least he managed to stretch them out to more than thirty minutes.
Sometimes he even got them to fit the maximum length of a CD exactly.
That's dedication for you.

A special interest film called "Student Nurse"? I think I might have
seen that one.

Mick, the Rockin' Berries had a handful of UK hits in 1965 (all cover
versions) and peppered their otherwise fine records with novelty tunes
like "The Laughing Policeman". It sounds like the people who compiled
the record you found were confusing the Rockin' Berries with their
label mates the Ivy League, because the other bands you mentioned are
Ivy League offshoots.

The keyboard player with the Flowerpot Men was Jon Lord, the guy out
of Deep Purple. The rest of the band used to be in the Ivy League, and
before that were session musicians who provided backing vocals on both
The Who's debut single and also "It's Not Unusual" by Tom Jones.
