Sinister: I don't wanna be left outside of your good times

Dear all,

Blimey, is it only five days?  I'm dead excited, me.  And it all
starts at the Betsy.  All hail Pam and Trousers for starting it with a
bang not a whimper.  All hail Wumpkinny too for flying in overnight
ready to start a life of sin in Manchester and starting off her stay
by playing a "gig" (as I believe you young people call it) at the
Betsy, with our very own Chris Lynyrd, .  I will be DJing, so if you
can any requests you can shove them right up your arses, cos you'll
get what your damn well given, and be grateful.  I have bought a
couple of fab waxings especially for the occasion, though.  I want to
play something suitable before the arch Duke comes on stage.  It was
going to be "Bela Lugosi's dead" in honour of his vampiric past, but I
couldn't bring myself to pay good money for it.

I fear the Roolz appearance at Bowlie will not materialise.  It would
be easy to cite musical differences, but the truth is that Keith's
rampant ego is ruining everything, he now insists that we call him El
Guapo, and spends his time composing free jazz instrumentals.  They're
shit, frankly, and we can do without him, he thinks he's the Robbie of
the band, but he's really the Howard.

I met Warrander John in town today, he was very excited cos he'd been
out buying "some fucking shit-hot festival gear", a full set of
juggling equipment and some t-shirts with aliens on them.  He's also
dead chuffed with the one he bought in "the Dam" with a very clever
spoof of the Mona Lisa smoking "a big fuck off j-bone".  "Man, it's
well wicked", he says, snickering.  He's also bringing his guitar and
the Levellers songbook, and hopes you'll join him for an impromptu jam
session.
