Sinister: Pubic hair causes crime

OK, time for that scary de-lurking kind of thing. Well, kind of
de-lurking kind of thing since I was subscribed a year or so ago, around
when I saw B&S at the Shepherd's Bush Empire, but had to leave early
because I had to get the train back... rant... rant... rant...

Anyway...

<blush>

GREGORY'S GIRL

Can't say I've "long awaited" the sequel. It seems hard to "long await"
something that I didn't see when it was new first time around. It's kind
of cheating. Like kids seeing all the Star Wars films for the first time
this year. The films only seem good now because of the twenty-odd years
of playground games and memories that have grown up around them. IYSWIM.
Scary though: people born in the 90s could be at secondary school next
year.

What I really liked (not that anyone should really take my opinion on
spec, since about 1/4 of the audience left during the film) was the new
print of Koyaanisqatsi at the Curzon Soho. The music there was superb and
it was the most engrossing film that I've seen for months. Still not sure
if I agree with what its saying: the "life out of balance" stuff.

BRATISLAVA, HAGGERSTON

I've just finished reading LONDON FIELDS and am rather confused. I can't
find anyone here who's read it and remembers it in any detail and
altavista seems hopeless. I just don't understand the ending. It's hard
to ask anything specific without giving spoilers... I just feel that I've
missed something beyond the references to playing with his brother..?
Rather than being a twist I just didn't get it..?

EUPHEMISMS

"Flogging the ice cream". I mean, what else could they have meant: "till
the company's on its knees".

B&S CONTENT

15 B's. 39 S's. Two ampersands.

cheers

tim
