indeed. i almost cried when i heard that line from 5ive's latest offering.
quite cringeworthy. anyways..
Theresa rote:

aw, bless. i know how you feel. i used to have a grumpy airedale terrier
called Dylan, a big old grumpy dog, but we loved him to bits. he was 10 or
12 when his muscles decided they'd had enough and decided to pack it in. i
shed a fair few tears i can tell you when my mummy had to take him to the
vets that final time *sniff*
i loved the Animals of Farthing Wood. i read the entire series when i was
pretty young at skool, and i remember being quite proud of myself because it
was in the grown-up section of the kids library, and none of my similarly
young friends believed me that i read all the books :(

ooh, i'll buy, i just _love_ Salinger! he's my author of the month. well,
last month anyway. i actually tried to put on my hiking boots to read
Seymour, but they were the wrong size and i was rather quizzical and
head-scratched by the time i reached the end. i think Franny and Zooey is
probably my fave of his.

i would probably agree, the vocals certainly are in my undoubtedly
uninformed opinion the most reflective of our Struans. Stevie Jackson also
would probably agree with the S&G comparison (Chickfactor and S&G's Homeward
Bound, and he likens Isobels Is It Wicked not to Care with Cloudy in a Mojo
interview). ive never really ascribed to the Nick Drake comparison. ive
tried, but with Nick Drake i always cant help but pick up on the sheer hazy
psychadelic seventies-ness of his music. which doesnt really compare with
belle and sebastian. i dont think any artist has closely. i think thats why
i have such a love affair with their music.
is the eclipse tommorow in the morning? if it is then i may miss it through
sheer lazybastarditis. though i dont particularly give two hoots if i do see
it or not. im rather sick of all the hype about it, its all too much. also,
everybody is saying that looking directly at the eclipse is a big big no no.
well ive glimpsed at the sun on several occasions when there wasnt a moon to
cover it, so does that mean that im risking my eyesight? i never thought so
before as i always looked away after at most a couple of seconds, but now im
starting to panic. some cynics may say its 'other' activities which would
lead to my potential blindness...
lastly, i never had a crush on cheetarah, but April O'Neill from the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon always sparked a pre-adolescent flame within
me, whenever she appeared on the scene in her tight-fitting yellow
jump-suits. Yowser! if we're talking real crushes, my fatal one was with a
radiant beauty hailing from Nicaragua, Central America, capital city
Managua, who once i laid eyes on, i was completely besotten. once that
happens, you're liable to follow the 'law of the poor foolish bastard'.
which involves things like falling over in their presence, or leaving
important exams half-finished just because you saw them leave and must try
to talk to them.
double lastly, lewd winks all round for those few who decided for vote for
me as a list crush. bless you all!
