Sinister: I'm in a mess, I'm in Abbesses

Rue de Lepic to be precise, 18eme Arr.  Or *was*, to push the
accuracy dinghy out a little further.  Ego, The Windmills, The
Lucksmiths and Sportique flying the flag for Matinee Recordings in a
little boat moored on the Left Bank.  A smattering of Sinister
presence, the atmosphere of a school trip (but where the smoking and
drinking were compulsory rather than clandestine) and a city full of
shockingly lovely architecture for the gawping.

As an alternative to the super-fine delights of Tigermilking, I
suspect Paris in August just about did us OK.  A couple of us were a
little, shall we say, Beyond Thunderdome on Saturday night though.  A
tad Turnered.  We didn’t need another hero, but we were gasping for
two pints of tap water and three Advil.

Ailsa made some biting remark about my outstripping her in the
embarrassment stakes at the last picnic; round our way it’s
considered right classy to hitch your boxers up an inch or two for
general perusal, especially if they’re a vivid red with a cycling
motif.  Not that that actually happened.

Propellers to Lixi and UptonActuallyPartOfBirkenhead Pam for the
dazzling photos.  If you squint at 'Football' you can see the precise
moment I pulped my right knee ligaments.  Meanwhile, over on the
genre-defining 'PamAndLixisPicnic', Hopkins can be seen symbolically
laying down in front of Industry Behemoth Kitchen - a kind of
PopTianamen moment.  To the extreme left, DM-C-UK is depicted
flipping through an old photo album for the benefit of Alix
