Sinister: safety

safety isn't belle and sebastian, it's from the first snowpatrol ep
(back when they were called polarbear), 'starfighter pilot'. yes, it's
howling mad murdoch on vocals on that one track and richard colburn
drums on the entire ep but that's about it. nice though. oh, and it's on
electric honey records, the stow college label, ehrcd007 as it happens.
it's not on the recent re-release btw (according to katrina).

and, looking at my pantone colour charts i can tell you that the cover
is actually 'ivory' and not whatever trousers said it was. so 'ner!'

(actually, it's a picture of the backpack, helmet, gloves and gun from
an action man space ranger outfit, the back is a picture of an action
man in said outfit. can't tell if he has realistic gripping hands or
eagle eyes though)

first day at work today. went ok but it as kinda dull. got shown around
by the boss who invited everybody down the pub at dinnertime for some
kinda 'freaks'esque initiation ceremony but then he got stuck in a
meeting so neither of us went. i'm sure that endeared me to my
colleagues.

didn't enjoy the 4 hours of commuting though (specifically the 30
minutes stood at The Bus Shelter That Time Forgot). still, i got a lot
read.

set the video to tape something off space television but forgot to
change the channel over from cartoon network. arse. i realised about 15
minutes in but the damage is done. and, about 2 minutes ago, the tape
ran out 10 minutes before the end of something else. i hate it when that
happens... still, it means i don't have to waste 2 hours watching them.
