This is a really shite letter, just delete it. I didn't write it, it was
conceived by meta-chlorides.
It's interesting to see Al Stewart being mentioned, especially "Year of the
Cat". "Flying Sorcery" is one of my favourite songs, a lyrical masterpiece.
Once you get used to the Knopfler style guitar through the album, it's
great. I once met a lady who knew Al Stewart in the seventies. Apparently
he was always trying to rip her virginity from her, but she was having none
of it, so Al wrote Antarctica for her ("to go where no man has gone before"
etc). I didn't like that story, so I decided she was a liar. Vocally, Al is
quite close to Stuart Murdoch in that they both sing like poofters.
Actually that's a thing I like about Stuart Murdoch. I think I'll add that
into the Stuart Murdoch Fan Page Best Things about Stuart Murdoch page.

Genevieve, a sci-fi struan story would be nice, why don't you have a shot?
As long as Struan speaks like this "twy, twy and twy again", and Stephen
Pastel swears a lot, you'll be doing fine.
I just had a thought that "poofter" may be offensive to some folk, sorry
about that. Gypsy bastards. In fact, It really irks me how undiscussed
girls taking it up the arse is. It's crazy how many of my female pals have
got arses, but don't admit to taking it up them.
Love,
Christine
