Sinister: In search of Belle and Sebastian tape traders...

Hello to everyone...

This is my first post to the list and I will say that I am very happy to be a 
part of it. Although I was only introduced about 4 months ago, It would be an 
understatement to say that the music of Belle and Sebastian has changed my 
life for the better. I can now put on a CD that gracefully unleashes my 
emotions, puts my soul at peace, and in general makes me glad to be alive. I 
can only hope that B&S will tour again soon so that I can see some of this 
magic that I've been listening to. 

That brings me to my next thought: Who on this list trades Belle and 
Sebastian shows? I have only accumulated a few, but I want to find as many as 
I can, and as much as I am able to, I want to share them with the list. For 
my first offer, I will take the first five people to respond to this post. I 
will offer you the 10/7/98 Botanique, Brussels Belgium show if you will send 
me a blank tape and the adequate return postage to get it back to you. Let me 
make it clear that my tapes are not for sale, and if you have any plans to 
sell them, please do not respond (Remember that karma  will indeed kick you 
in the ass.)  I am only interested in trading for shows I do not have and 
spinning blanks for those that haven't had the fortune of owning any live 
Belle and Sebastian. If you made the cut, I will respond to you, and if not, 
I won't. This is not to be mean, but when I do these offers I usually get a 
ton of replies and I simply do not have the time to respond to each and every 
one of them. Please do not take this personally.

I would also like to know if anyone can tell me when and where the first show 
B&S ever played was and if any tapes circulate of it.

I hope to hear from some of you on my offer. I also hope to be able to help 
more and more of you in the future.
