hi,
this is my first time so please be gentle. i was waiting till the time was
right and i felt like i had something to say.
i went to see the flaming lips the other night in NYC (was anyone
there?) and seeing how some listees like them, i think i should tell you it
was a very good show. they had a really cool visual thing going on (i.e. they
used a tape from when they played david letterman to introduce themselves and
had cameras showing the band at various spots onstage (which helped b/c i was
standing behind a tall kid with a big head) they even passed out walkmans at
the show so you could tune into the show in stereo on the radio (in case you
happened to be in a bad spot or use the toilet). it was kinda like you do at
a drive-in movie theatre. all this was very interesting because everyonce in
a while they would pan the sound from left to right which was really neat-o
in the headphones . im rambling now but it was really fun. if you haven't
done so already get the new flaming lips album, i like it. who knows you
might too. they call their tour music against brain damage and promote it
saying their music might make you smart if you want it to. (maybe it could,
but who really wants to be smart?)
on another note, i went to an amusement park today and rode all the
really big rollercoasters. some of them were scary. that was fun too.

sweet dreams everyone,
justin
