Sinister: good advices <when you meet a stranger, keep your money in your shoes>

smoking (my only vice) and listening to the tindersticks (one of my few pleasures)
go remarkably well together, don't you think?

hello everyone.

i've not been very sinister at all recently. i have a boatload of horrible exams
in less than a month. it's tragic to think that i have many horrid days of
feeling like i should be working between now and my annual soujourn to
the wide irish west. i do envy anyone here who has just done a-levels and
is looking forward to the wonderful world of higher education. i'd give so
much to be there again *sigh*. please enjoy every last moment of it.

<request for advices 1>
have people here ever 'met' other people through email and stuff that they
have thought that, just maybe, could be something special? only it's
happened to me quite recently and things went from wonderful to
less-than-wonderful all to quickly. now it's going to happen again in
the not-to-distant future and, after not handling things all that well last
time, i'd really like to know how one goes about dealing with such things.
(they are different people, by the way)

<request for advices 2>
the band that i am in are going, some time, to release a new record. it's
going to be a double 7" on two different labels (short-fuse and fortuna pop,
if you're at all interested). the original plan was to release each record
independently (although on the same day) with some kind of token whereby
someone who bought both would be able to get a nice shiny gatefold sleeve
to put them in. now it's being suggested that we just release them as one
happy package. how would the great british indie-buying public react to
either scheme - both of which, albeit unintentionally, appear to be verging
on being gimmics?
