Sinister: celebrating in style

I've been most remiss with my mail these past months, but I have excuses.
I'm not telling you what they are, mind, but rest assured, they are really
REALLY good excuses. Alcohol rears its handsome head in most of them... but
you could have guessed that anyway.

Someone not so long ago said that they were trying to organise an Exeter
picnic on the 27th, either knowingly or otherwise to celebrate the birfday
of the list. Ah, how fondly I remember those days, even if it is something
of a blur and haze to me now. But yes, the 27th... I think the Exeter picnic
is a tremendous idea, and I shall be broken hearted if, upon turning up at
St Davids station at the allotted time of 2pm there are precisely, erm, no
other Sinister looking bods around to cop off with. Or at least to go
drinking with. Should this be the case, however, I will not despair, because
thankfully pubs here still serve lonely old bastards by themselves, and
anyway, in the evening I have a special party to go to ANYway. Everyone is
welcome actually, especially anyone who might conceivably be in town for
aforementioned picnic... it's a big gala unveiling of my friends' (yes!
Really!) multimedia do-dah and there will be fab video and slide
projections, little booklets (copyright ME), CDRoms and a smart buffet. Oh
yes, and some shite Djing courtesy of yours truly. I will personally be
celebrating the Sinister birthday in my own inimitable way by playing
records that have nothing to do with Belle & Sebastian, thereby honouring
the Sinister pledge of being completely off-topic at all times. Seriously,
you are all welcome... 8pm, at the Timepiece nightclub. Be there, or quite
frankly, be somewhere else.

I am now off to the big city of London for a few days, to drink with friends
and do a couple of interviews in the awkward moments between pubs. I might
even see some art shows but I'm not holding my breath. I might even see some
of YOU lot. Won't that be jolly nice?
