Why,

it seems there is becomming a semi-renaissance (spelling police dont look up 
from your greasy donuts) in shoe batering. So Laurel and hardy were the 
pioneers? And there was i under the misguided impression that the male 
gingertosser (mr Chris Evans, as opposed to Gerri...but why not cilla?) 
invented the concept on an episode of 'dont forget your toothbrush' where he 
had audience tarts zooming off on on motor bikes to the nearest chippy, the 
first to return battered won the chance to light his lemon. (Which is always 
besy squeezed on cod not sole)

As for the subject line, i am feeling a little miffed that Dame Kylie 
herself was doing a signing of books on Pitt st in sydney the other week, 
and everyone neglected to tell me!!! I would have loved to shake hands with 
the subject of my 1989 wall candy extravaganza, and peck her.

..and back onto junk food, there's a new 'delicacy' here in oz i tried for 
the first time last night. A 'McFlurry'. It's not only gross but an absolute 
con. They take the same ice cream used in two 30 cent cones, slosh it in a 
plastic cup, mix it with some mini m and m's, nerds or oreos, and charge two 
bucks thirty for it!

I nominate we batter Ronald McDonald.
