Sinister: "yes yes yes, it's the spring festival..."

...but the only thing "truly detestible" about it is that Callie and I CAN'T
GO, having made honeymoon plans for Scotland the month before.  If either of
us had any other time off from work, we'd practically sell all our belongings
to be there.  Divine Comedy, Sleater-Kinney, Vic Godard, Cornelius, Broadcast,
the Pastels and B&S on one bill, all at a picturesque holiday camp near the
British seashore...my head reels.  Someday there's going to be a miniseries
called "The '90s."  Right after the part where Clinton gets acquitted, there's
going to be a scene at Camber Sands, thousands of clean-cut pop fans grooving
to actors playing Looper.  Our kids will turn to us and ask, "Mommy, Daddy,
you liked them, right?  Were you there?"  And we'll sigh and send them to
clean their rooms.
