local "classical" band called Virtual Consort which consists of an arch
guitar (cross between lute and guitar), Trumpet, and electric bass
guitar named their latest album after these pieces and does very cool
versions of #1 and #3
also some kick arse arrangements of Stravinsky, Nino rota (from "8
1/2"), lots of other stuff
dunno if anyone listens to national public radio (the best thing outside
of community and college radio, not saying much) they get played a lot
(one of the npr babies) and got famous on prarie home companion (ugh ich
ptoo) towns under 2000 (or whatever number) contest which has the "best"
artists from small towns
blah anyway
i think some people on here might dig Virtual Consort esp since the
trumpet player is wunnerful and quiet and not what most trumpet players
are
and the music is muy pretty and perfect lying in the grass on windy day
