This is a fantastic thing for the band, but a horrible thing for fans.  I
am glad that the band is getting rewarded for their brilliance, but I would
shudder to think what would happen if Belle and Sebastian were all of a
sudden "hip" in the US.  I've been to a number of bad shows in my time
where the bands were brilliant and the crowd just ruined it for me.
