Sinister: Bill Bryson

To whoever mentioned Bill Bryson: I get the feeling that I've read all of
his books full stop (check out "Mother Tongue", on linguistics) but I love
his new book of collected articles and must look at the Mail on Sunday to
see if he still writes them every week. I think his TV series (Sunday
nights, ITV, 7pm) is OK too, although he's a bit patronising and makes the
entire UK look like the grey hell of Bedford - having been to St Petersburg
in late December makes even Bedford feel like heaven. But I can't fault him
and he's one of those authors that I have to read over and over again...
