I am from Atlanta, GA where coke was invented by a Dr. Pemberton (I think
that's right) who was a druggist. Having been raised on coca cola, as many
other Southern Americans, I do enjoy a nice cold glass, especially on a hot
humid summer day. Anyway, I thought I'd shed some light on the secret recipe
thing. I was always intrigued by this until I visited the Coca cola museum
(yes, there is one!) here in Atlanta with my uncle last year. I went into
this replica soda fountain in the museum and these men were explaining how
coke is made.... Anyway, they said that there is nothing actually secret in
the recipe, just that the amounts of the ingredients are secret. Like they
use the same ingredients as other colas, but the amounts are different. That
kinda ruined all the mystique for me, but it's interesting nonetheless!
So, unless this is just a cover up to hide some crazy secret ingredients (ha
ha!), I wouldn't worry too much about the secret recipe. ;)
Have a coke and a smile
