Sinister: Alix and SWP

I could talk all day about politics, but I won't. Only I consider the SWP to
simplistic and negative. I know something needs to be done to give this
country a kick up the arse, but that's not going to happen if we sit on our
own arses and shout about it, is it? Give benefits back to students, make
them feel a part of a civic society, but if we starve unis of funds, we may
come out with healthy bank balances but we're hardly going to be better off
for it, are we? How about grants and tuition fees.... Anyway, I'm in the
Labour Party, we get to go to policy fora and talk about these issues and
pass the results on to conference, which is not so much shouting as talking
civilly to the leaders. I'm a callous class traitor, but I want to see real
progress like anyone else.
