Sinister: The world is just a great big onion

Now, in a shock break with tradition, I'm actually going to talk about
B&S. Last I heard (although this may well be out of date by now), after
the 4-track PYJAMAS EP was ineligible for the charts they were going to
follow it with a 2-track single, probably Lord Anthony and Paper Boat
(whoever was asking about this song, it's by Stuart David. And I've yet to
talk to anyone who likes it as much as the rest of the material...). And
then the album after that. But given that the release of TWATTYBUS was put
back by about 8 months, I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you. There
was also talk a while ago about Tigermilk having a different cover when it
gets rereleased, anyone know if that's still the case?

Personally I'm just hoping the album comes out before October, because for
the rest of the year I'll be away on an expedition in Chilean Patagonia.
And I can't really see B&S doing a gig to promote the album halfway up a
mountain in the Andes.


Friday 22 Jan:
Dear diary, had a great evening at the Poetry Cafe. I did enjoy seeing
such a wonderful band play whilst literally sitting at the singer's feet.
I was close enough to have been able to count the fillings in his teeth,
should I have so desired. And I met such a lot of lovely people. (btw
anyone I said I'd do a tape for, get in touch, my memory's going. Must be
old age, I'll be another year older on Friday, the grey hairs can't be far
away now. Before long I'll be as bald as Mark...)

Saturday 23 Jan:
Arrived in Sheffield Students' Union bar at 4.15 and started drinking.
Stopped drinking at 4am Sunday, when the vodka ran out. What I can
remember of the night was superb :-)

Sunday 24 Jan:
Still in Sheffield drinking. Realise at 4pm that I've got to get back to
Cambridge within 4 1/2 hours for a match. Make it with 15 minutes to
spare.

Monday 25 Jan:
Stay in bed. I think my liver is about to explode.

Tuesday 26 Jan:
Stuff the liver. Go out and get drunk again. It's great being a student
sometimes. I just wish I could afford all these nights out...


Oh, and with all this being away and stuff I haven't written to a couple
of people I should have done, I will get round to it I promise!
