Greeting earth creatures, in todays Guardian they have made this chart asking
'a mixture of historically aware folks from all areas of the music business'
which included Lemmy, Gruff Rhys, Julian Cope, Sarah Martin (I was wrong,
there is B&S content !!) She voted . 1. Tom Waits "Nighthawks at the diner" ".
Oscar Toney Jr. "For your precious love" 3. Dusty Springfield "Dusty in
Memphis".
Anyhow, here's the top ten, us Nick Drake fans are in for a happy time !!
1. Nick Drake "Bryter Layetr" (1970)
2. Tom Waits "Rain Dogs" (1985)
3. The Band "The Band" (1969)
4. Gene Clark "No Other" (1974)
5. Nick Drake "Five Leaves Left" (1969)
6. The Beatles "A Hard Day's Night" (1964)
7. Curtis MAyfiled "Curtis" (1970)
8. Todd Rundgren "A Wizard, A True Star" (1973)
9. George Harrison "All Things Must Pass" (1970)
10. Todd Rundgren "Something/Anything ?" (1972)
Not much '90's stuff is there ?!! The first 90's record is Jeff Buckley's
Grace from 1994.
Ben.
